  • Flat with cabbages

  • The camaraderie, the vibe and the support. So many clubs enter from far & wide and it feels like a great big running party.

  • My last 5k was a shocker but that was due to loss of fitness after injury. There's really nothing that's hard about this race.

  • Anyone and everyone. You can race it, you can plod it, you can do it however you want and at whatever pace - there's no judgment.

It's all road though, despite being on the towpath, so if you're looking for softer ground, no such luck.

  • Book early - places go quite quickly.

Don't waste time joining the eternal loo queue at the Cabbage Patch Pub. There are many pubs nearer to the start that will happily allow runners to use their loos.

If you race it and plan to place top 3, bring something to carry home your crate of London Pride and prize cabbage.

  • At the end, don't forget to submit your race number into the prize draw; they've got great prizes and you never know, you might win something.
