Swim | Bike | Run
Cascais, Portugal

  • Stunning, challenging course

  • The course is beautiful. A sunrise swim. Cycling through hills, a former F1 circuit and then by the sea to Lisbon and back. And running looking at the sea the whole time.

  • After getting to Lisbon and turning around, I realised I had 30k cycling against the wind. That was not fun.

  • If you’re looking to do a half Ironman, this is known as one of the prettiest courses.

And it’s the end of season so a whole year of training during the summer :)

  • The run is hillier than it seems, just lots of steady climbing. Be ready.

  • I may have set a PB for pastel de nata consumption.
