  • Friendly, impressive, and huge!

  • The atmosphere

  • The final descent! And the training. Coming down the final, very rocky descent, without poles, with very sore knees, in high winds and pitch black - definitely type 2 fun.

  • Everyone, but especially ultra rookies. There is nothing too technical, nothing difficult to navigate, and there is lots of support from fellow runners on the way.

  • Start near the front, it gets very very congested.

The toasted cheese sandwiches at the final aid station are magnificent! Enjoy it, it's a wonderful experience.

  • Very well organised, brilliant volunteers, lots of support, everyone very friendly and chatty.
