Skiddaw, Northern Lake District

  • Small, friendly ultra

    1. The section up High Pike, round to Skiddaw House and over Skiddaw.

    2. The super friendly volunteers at the aid stations.

    1. The return from Caldbeck along the river was a bit of a slog after the highs (literal and metaphorical) of Skiddaw.

    2. I wasn't at my best on the descent of Ullock Pike.

  • Anyone looking for a small, friendly ultra in the Lake District. The volunteers at the aid stations are super kind and supportive.

  • It's all pretty runnable, so come prepared.

  • The start's being moved to Caldbeck in 2025 and the race shortened to 50k with 2,000 m of ascent.
