21 km | very flat |
Lisbon, Portugal

  • Flat. Fast. Friendly.

  • Running across the Abril 25th bridge which is the same style as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, designed by the same engineer.

Then a long downhill stretch before the road flattens out for the remaining 8 miles

  • The weather was incredibly hot on the day with limited shade along the course.

The start area was a bit disorganised with too few toilets for the number of competitors.

  • Runners wanting to PB.

  • Take care of your footing on the bridge, we had a nasty tumble from our group.

This is part of the Superhalf series - more accessible than the marathon majors.

    Sunscreen is a must

  • This is a very accessible race for a weekend trip.

It’s point to point starting on an island across the river so need to travel there in the morning, this was relatively simple and the start was quick to clear the pens.
