  • Royal undulating park run

  • Discovering the park south of the Windsor Castle with its Royal school, village, ponds, cricket ground, palatial sculptures and beautiful greenery.

And that rewarding breathtaking view over the castle when you run down to the finish.

Very supportive volunteers all the way. Cafes and food vans at the start, ample number of toilets.

I also liked that there were many pacemakers, even for my category (+2h 30). It felt inclusive. My husband was proud he would have run in the sub 75 minutes category :)

  • 2nd lap, had a dip in form km 13 to 14. And hip pain from km 15.

I walked once the half of a big hill , must have been km 16-17.

The finish is further than one thinks when you look from the monument down to the finish line.

  • Anyone.

  • Train for the 2nd lap of 7 miles.

See on the map where the elevation is, especially the last big one after km 15.

  • Very good parking facilities, loads of space close to the start and the finish is same place.

If you can, get there by car. Our connecting train in Richmond was cancelled 10 minutes before and we had to take an Uber to go to the race (and back).

Plus the walk from the finish to the train station is very very long, 30 minutes and that is a lot when you are tired.
