Llanwtyd Wells, Wales

  • Outrun a horse. Or not.

  • The friendly and lively atmosphere - the whole town turns out. That, and the fast forest tracks and open moorland of mid Wales.

  • The heat. I drank enough water but forgetting my electrolytes left me cramping for the final 10k.

  • Someone who can run a marathon and is looking for a trail race that is more than a little quirky.

  • Don’t miss out on the excellent pasta (and more) party at the Neuadd Arms Hotel the night before the race.

  • Sitting in the river with beer and ice cream makes for the ideal recovery!
