15 km | 1,000 m of elevation |
Llanberis, Wales
-
Straight up and down. The ‘and’ doesn’t count as a word.
-
The descent. Coming down the Llanberis path with runners coming up and walkers on the mountain is wild.
-
At the time, pouring rain and high winds. The race was reduced to 10 km and 600m of elevation, making it even more fast and furious.
-
Anyone who loves a bit of elevation.
-
Make sure you go to the post race meal at the Royal Victoria Hotel. Delicious curry ‘half and half’, and all you can eat. No better way to recover.
-
It’s not always rain and high wind. The race has only been shortened from the full length twice and last year it was run in blazing sunshine.
